Founded in 2004, Bateleur Capital is an independent, owner-managed fund management business with an extensive track record of consistent, real returns within conservative risk parameters.
With total AUM of more than R11 billion, its products include long-running long/short and market-neutral hedge funds, a flexible asset allocation unit trust, an equity-only unit trust and select equity-only mandates.
Bateleur manages more than R500 million in three rand-denominated hedge funds, available on the Momentum and Glacier platforms.
Investment team
Kevin Williams and Charl Gous are supported by a team of local and global analysts.
Kevin Williams has been involved in the South African capital markets since 1996, working previously on the sell side for international investment banks, including Union Bank of Switzerland and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Charl Gous has been involved in the South African investment markets since 2006. He joined Bateleur Captal in 2008.
